WEDNESDAY LAMB DEVOTIONAL NUGGET- Hebrews

Good Morning, it's 6:16am on Wednesday, I am Teaching In Christchurch New Zealand so many of you this is coming from the future. I am 21 hours ahead of Pacific Time at home.

“Be careful that no one among you lives in immorality, becoming careless about God’s blessings, like Esau who traded away his rights as the firstborn for a simple meal. And we know that later on when he wanted to inherit his father’s blessing, he was turned away, even though he begged for it with bitter tears, for it was too late then to repent.”     Hebrews‬ ‭12‬:‭16‬-‭17‬ ‭TPT‬‬


My Take: Two short phrases jump out to me as I read this morning:

"Be Careful that no one among you lives in immortality"

&

"becoming careless about God's blessings "

I believe as you focus on God and His goodness you will not be deceived in these two areas. Holiness matters to our Father. We are called to walk like Him and be like Him. Also it's almost impossible to be careless and grateful at the same time. Being grateful for all His blessings keeps us from being careless.
